feeling happy today ...

lonely!

park run @ root 44 ....

there is a 5km trail run every saturday morning at 8:00am at the root 44 market. it started about a month ago. a free timed trail run. i have always wanted to try trail running, bought shoes years ago and never had the opportunity to try it out.

saturday the 14th, myself and one of the other stall holder ladies decided to try it out. it was so much fun, walked about 1/3 of the way, but its a start. one of these days i will run the full 5km. we finished in 40mins, not bad at all for newbies. i am hoping to do the trail run every 2nd saturday.

below are a couple of pics taken between the 9th & 14th july. i am really having fun with the new camera, taking pics where i can, BUT i am battling a bit!!! hopefully i will get the settings, etc. right soon.

 

 

my new toy!

i have always enjoyed taking photos, but the camera's i have had, have always been your standard "mik & druk" camera's. the last month or so, i have really made an effort to make sure that my camera is with me at all times, no matter where i am going. i want to capture my life as i am experiencing it, capture the smiles on my kids faces!

last week i took the jump and bought myself the canon 600d, WOW, what a difference compared to my old camera. its a 2nd hand one, only a few months old, but came with 2 lenses and carry bag, etc. plus the price was waaaaay better than a brand new one.

after work on friday i stopped off at the beach to start playing around and learning how to use my new toy.

its still extremely foreign to me, lol!
