the warmer water was so much better than the freezing tygervalley pool water.
i was extremely nervous for the pool session, almost chickened out and didnt go. when i got to the scuba shop where we met to collect the gear, i saw the other lady that was with me for the 1st pool session. the lady that also battled, straight away i felt a bit better knowing there was someone else that also didnt complete the 1st pool session.
we were put together as a pair again for the session, have to dive with a buddy.
so all kitted up and we get into the pool, take a few minutes to breath through the regulator just with our faces in the water to get use to the breathing again. then it was time to descend. as i started going down, i started panicking again. i was very, very close in going up and getting out and calling it quits. at that moment i thought that scuba is just not for me.
BUT, i didnt go up and calmed myself down. i did it, i did all the skills and finished the pool session. we were under the water for about an hour and a half.
i am really happy that i completed it!
now it is for the sea dives, i am already very nervous for that. but just keep saying to myself that it will be fun, a new experience and that i will do fine.
we might do our first 2 dives this saturday coming, depending on what the weather is gonna do. hopefully the weather is ok and the water isnt to freezing, so that i can do the dives and see if i will carry on with scuba.
